Hi, I’m PudgyDragon.
I enjoy building, deploying, troubleshooting, and documenting cybersecurity technologies. This site is where I share the things I wish I had known before starting a deployment—the commands that save hours, the mistakes worth avoiding, and the lessons learned from implementing security platforms in real environments.
Most of what you’ll find here comes from hands-on experience with enterprise security tools, system administration, threat intelligence integrations, and defensive engineering. My goal is simple: create practical guides that are easy to follow and useful enough to save the next engineer time and frustration.
Whether you’re deploying a SIEM, integrating threat intelligence, hardening a Linux server, or trying to solve an obscure issue at 2 a.m., I hope something here helps.
The mascot
The PudgyDragon is a veteran blue dragon in well-worn armor. His rounded belly has finally cracked the front plate—a consequence of too many late-night maintenance windows and one too many peach energy drinks. Despite the dents and scratches, he’s dependable, approachable, and always willing to document the solution so the next engineer has an easier day.
